One of the common sense beliefs that Jehovah's Witnesses got right which made it easy to eliminate most other religions as false but is worth mentioning for other Bible believers visiting who don't already know, is that the use of the cross or any other symbol is wrong as it is idolatry.
“My beloved ones, flee from idolatry.” - 1 Cor. 10:14 (An idol is an image or symbol that is an object of intense devotion, veneration, or worship.)
“You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them.” - Ex. 20:4, 5 (Notice that God commanded that his people not even make an image before which people would bow down.)
But where the Watchtower Organization gets it wrong is when they try to show all other religions wrong by saying that Jesus died on a Cross, and they are the only ones who have it right that he died on a stake. But did he? Let's look at the facts:
On the left below, you can see that in the book Reasoning From the Scriptures Jehovah's Witnesses quote from The Imperial Bible-Dictionary to prove that Jesus died on a cross. On the right, you can see the actual page showing the exact opposite was actually implied, and yet omitted by The Organization.

I've seen a video where they fully test someone carrying the pole. It is hard enough carrying the top section, it would be near impossible to carry the whole stake the distance indicated in the bible. The main posts are always in the ground, the people had to carry the upper cross-bar as it was tied around their arms over the back. They were then hoisted up with the bar already attached to them. Just from a practical standpoint, it's a lot simpler than carrying the whole stake and then digging a hole every time!
