It isn't easy losing most of your friends and family once you leave the bOrg. You might find yourself lonely, scared, anxious, and without purpose. YOU have the power to change all of that, and we'll try to help you get started!

Find Purpose in Life
Many wonder what the purpose of life is now. It's actually so simple it may be hard to grasp right away.

The purpose of life is to live it to it's fullest, with no regrets, and live it happy.

That's it! Sure, you can try to be the next big somebody that make an impact on the world and hope to get a statue made of you when you die, if that's your thing that makes you happy. You can do many things to help people. You might want to get rich. But no matter what you do, you have to enjoy it and be happy.

Many learn that simply keeping life simple gives you less things to worry about in life. Don't get yourself in debt, be smart.

You only live once. Make the most of it!

"If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right."

Top five regrets of the dying

Worry About NOTHING!
You are going to have problems in life, everyone does. But you don't have to let these take away from your enjoyment in life. Just take one step at a time towards fixing any problem methodically. And don't stress about something that hasn't even happened yet, it helps nothing.

"Don't take life too seriously... no one gets out alive anyway"

"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." -Norman Cousins

"Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." -Steve Jobs

The Bucket ListMake a Bucket List
If you haven't seen the movie The Bucket List, do! The premise of a bucket list is simple; write a list of everything you want to do in life, and make plans to check each one off. Here are some example ideas.

"Every man dies...but few men ever truly live."

"I'd rather look back on my life and say "I can't believe I did that!" instead of saying "I wish I did that."

Making Friends
Finding new friends on the outside doesn't have to be difficult. Meetup.com offers tons of groups you can join all based on a myriad of different subjects, at no cost to you. Looking for a certain sports group? Perhaps just some people who like to try new restaurants together? Or you might even be looking for a local atheist group. They're all there! Don't be shy, join a group and get out of your house!

And you can make friends online as well. Facebook is a great way to make like-minded friends and share experiences and laughs. There are also many groups there for exJWs who can help you when you need them, just search for them!

Better yet, find friends here! TheBroadRoad.com is the ultimate exJW social destination for making new friends. It has all of the features like Facebook including your own wall, chat room, instant messaging, engaging forum, instant messaging, video and picture sharing, dating features, event scheduling, and so much more! We'd love to have you in our community, won't you join us?

Discover Yourself, Then Be Yourself
Don't worry about what others think of you, worry about what you think of yourself! The only way you are going to keep the kind of people you want around you is if you advertise yourself honestly. Be yourself, and like-minded people will find you.

Dating
Whether you're looking for someone to fall in love with or just a hookup you have many options.

For those looking for a relationship, websites like OKCupid.com and PlentyOfFish.com offer free online dating services with millions of members.

You can use those websites to date, but they can be used to hook up also. Need help with women? We've got you covered! Check out The Gunwitch Method.

Educate Yourself
Many exJWs find themselves in low-paying and dead-end jobs due to the discouragement of higher education. Now outside the confines of the organization you are free to review choices you made earlier in life and make decisions based on your abilities and potential rather than doctrine. You are not too old or too poor to get educated now! Head this way for more information.

Need More Help?
Many exJWs are riddled with anxiety and depression. If you feel like you need help with these conditions, don't hesitate to get help! Whether you decide to try an SSRI to help you along the way, or see a professional for help, don't hold back from doing something to get the help you need.

Make Others Around You Happy
Whether it's your family or your friends, it's just a natural fact that when you make others happy they tend to want to make you happy in return. Go that extra step at all times to do something for them, whether big or small. When the people that you care most about are happy, you will find yourself happy as well.
